LAS VEGAS (Sunday, March 11, 2012) – Fans asked for it. NASCAR agreed. SRT Motorsports and Dodge delivered. SRT Motorsports unveiled the 2013 Dodge Charger that will compete in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series next season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway today in front of the people that asked for the change — the fans. Just as they did with the Dodge Challenger when it was introduced in the NASCAR Nationwide Series two years ago, SRT Motorsports designers and engineers created a race car fans will have no problem identifying on the race track. The defining features of the street Charger have been expertly incorporated into the racing version.

Tony Stewart drives Oreo’s 100th birthday car at Daytona Nationwide Series event

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., (Feb. 22, 2012) – If there’s anyone who’s just a kid at heart, it’s Tony Stewart.

That’s why there’s no better driver to help Oreo kick off its 100th birthday celebration than the three-time and reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion.

While Stewart hopes to defend his Sprint Cup title in 2012, there’s one other title he hopes to retain as the season gets underway at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway – the winner of the season-opening NASCAR Nationwide Series race.

Celebrating a win right out of the box on the Nationwide Series’ biggest stage has become second nature to Stewart. He has six total wins in the DRIVE4COPD 300, including the last four in a row.

Expanding on their hood sponsorship of the Menards Chevrolet, PEAK has redesigned the No. 27 Impala to be completely adorned with the signature “PEAK blue” and “Menards yellow” as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series kicks off the season with the 54th running of the “Great American Race” on February 26. The special paint scheme will also be showcased in the Budweiser Shootout on February 18 and the Duel 150 qualifying race on February 23.

for Austin Dillon’s 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series No. 3 Chevy

WELCOME, N.C. (November 4, 2011) – Richard Childress Racing and AdvoCare, an award-winning premier health and wellness company, have entered into a partnership for the company to be the primary sponsor of the No. 3 AdvoCare Chevrolet Impala driven by Austin Dillon for 20 races in the 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series season.

Dillon, who currently drives the No. 3 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, has an 11-point lead in the driver championship point standings with two races remaining. The 21-year-old from Lewisville, N.C., made his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut in 2008 and, in 11 races in the series, has earned two top-five and four top-10 finishes.

Katie Kenseth Crashes, Visits Hospital, Has Broken Scapula

Katie Kenseth crashed while practicing for the Oct. 15 charity “Better Half Dash” before the Sprint Cup Series race that evening. She is one of many wives and girlfriends scheduled to drive in this race.  She was taken to the hospital and later released.  Here is what Matt had to say on his Twitter account.

Kevin Harvick throws first pitch at Yankees Stadium

BRONX, N.Y. (Aug. 11, 2011) – Kevin Harvick, driver of the No. 29 Budweiser Chevrolet in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, threw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Wednesday night’s Major League Baseball matchup between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Angels at Yankees Stadium.
The Yankees won Wednesday night’s game 9-3 over the Angels, placing them in the lead of the American League Wild Card race.
“I had a great time last night at Yankee Stadium,” Harvick said. “I can now say I have thrown out the first pitch at the old Yankee Stadium as well as the new one, which will be a memory I will never forget. It was also great to see my two good friends Joe Girardi (Yankees team manager) and Gene Monahan (Yankees head athletic trainer), who will be retiring at the end of this season after 50 years within the Yankees organization.”
