Roush unveils 2010 Ford Mustang Nationwide Series Car

CONCORD, N.C. – A new era of Mustang racing rolled out here today, piloted by an All-American driver and with a returning sponsor familiar to loyal NASCAR fans.
Three major events were rolled into one today as Ford teamed up with Roush Fenway Racing and Con-way Freight to unveil the No. 16 Con-way Freight Mustang with driver Colin Braun at Roush Fenway Racing headquarters in Concord, N.C.
Ford announced in July that Mustang, the iconic pony car that has raced for all 45 years of its existence, would compete in the NASCAR Nationwide Series beginning in July 2010 when a limited rollout of NASCAR’s new car begins at Daytona International Speedway. Today marked the first time the NASCAR Mustang was seen in public.

Father/Daughter Wallace's to run Talladega

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Oct. 12, 2009) – For the first time in NASCAR’s history, a father-daughter duo will race in a national series event.
Mike Wallace and his 21-year-old daughter, Chrissy Wallace, are slated to compete in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Mountain Dew 250 fueled by Fred’s at Talladega Superspeedway on Oct. 31.
Mike Wallace will pilot the No. 48 Chevrolet for Andy Hillenburg. He has 113 series starts with four wins and finished fifth last season in the NCWTS race at Talladega.
Chrissy will be behind the wheel of an entry for Rick Ware Racing. She is without a guaranteed starting position in the field and must earn a spot in qualifying. The younger Wallace made her series debut at Martinsville Speedway in 2008. She finished ninth in the ARCA Re/MAX Series race at Talladega last year.

Jimmie Johnson won the Pepsi 500, his 45th victory in 285 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. This is his fifth victory and 19th top-10 finish in 2009.
This is his fourth victory and 10th top-10 finish in 14 races at Auto Club Speedway. He is the first driver to win four NASCAR Sprint Cup races at Auto Club Speedway and the first to win the Pepsi 500 in three consecutive seasons.
Johnson has led each of his past six starts at Auto Club Speedway for a total of 619 laps.
