Fresh off the final open weekend on the NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule this season, Elliott Sadler and Ricky Stenhouse Jr., prepare to battle it out in the Lone Star state where both drivers will be looking to take home their second cowboy hat.
Sadler holds the advantage in the championship standings with a six-point lead over Stenhouse with three races remaining. And for all intents and purposes, this is a two-horse race. But lurking in the shadows is Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender Austin Dillon, who has proven he can win in bunches, especially at 1.5-mile tracks, which make up two of the last three races. Dillon sits 26 points out of the standings lead.
Stenhouse won at Texas Motor Speedway earlier this season in April to earn his fourth career NNS victory. In 2004, Sadler won the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race held at Texas.
