Eight-Year Winning Streak Remains on the Line for Kyle Busch

Time is running out for Kyle Busch. With three races remaining in 2012, Busch finds himself in unfamiliar territory once again heading into theO’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway.

In 19 starts this season for his own team Kyle Busch Motorsports, Busch has six top-five and 11 top-10 finishes, including two runner-up finishes at Talladega and Chicago. Accidents and part failures have plagued the team much of the season including five finishes outside the top-20 with Busch behind the wheel.

That all could change this weekend in Texas, a track that Busch owns when it comes to the NASCAR Nationwide Series. He has five wins, 10 top fives and two poles in just 13 starts.

Busch has won at least one NASCAR Nationwide Series race for eight straight seasons dating back to his first series victory in 2004. In addition, he holds the overall record for most wins (51) by a driver in the series.
