We are told by scoring officials that Steve Wallace has thrown a hammer onto the track towards Kyle Busch’s car
When Steve Wallace came back into the pits, he drove by the car of Kyle Busch and extended a finger out his window. Wallace, Busch and Casey Smith had been racing hard.
TJ Reaid on the PA system (about the Kyle Busch incident) – “I guess he got p—-d off when I beat him on the restart and then he [explative deleted] cried.”
Reaid, when he climbed out of his disabled race car in Turn Two, pointed directly at Busch as Busch drove by, still upset over the previous incident.
The crowd has just cheered upon hearing the news that Kyle Busch is being sent to the rear of the field.
We have just been informed that Kyle Busch WILL BE penalized for causing the caution by race director Dan Spense. The race officials felt that Busch went above and beyond a “normal” racing incident with his contact with Reaid.
Our pit reporters have noticed that there are a few teams unhappy with the #51 crew of Kyle Busch.
On the Speed51 Radio Broadcast, we hear Chase Elliott saying he lost a lot of respect for Kyle Busch after being caught up in the Busch-Reaid altercation just past halfway
