After a late last lap turn four charge to the finish line, Kasey Kahne won the Subway Jalapeno 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race last night at Daytona International Speedway.
Regan Smith dominated the night and was out front leading 47 of 103 laps but did not go two for two at Daytona. He won the season opening Drive4COPD 400 NASCAR Nationwide Series event, but was unable to defend his 2014 Daytona race sweep.
He finished in second place by 0.21 seconds. His JR Motorsports teammate Chase Elliott caused a three car pileup with four laps to go because he was short on fuel and had to come down pit road to top off with fuel and battled back with a top ten run finishing sixth in Daytona.
Next Saturday the NASCAR Nationwide Series heads to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the Sta-Green 200.
The Racing action starts with “NASCAR Countdown” at 12:00 PM PT and 3:00 PM ET only on ESPN2.
