So far Jeff Gordon has 3 wins in 23 starts this season. (Kansas Speedway, The Brickyard 400, and The Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway.)

After an engine issue relegated Gordon to a 34th place finish last weekend at Watkins Glen International Raceway, he rebounded with a win in the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway after starting on the pole.

Based on Gordon’s stats this season thus far, he could very well be on his way to a 5th Sprint Cup Series Championship. In order to the season finale at Homestead in thirteen races he’ll have to get through the bull ring at Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend, a track which Gordon has five wins, sixteen top fives, and twenty four top tens.

Next up is the fast 1.5 mile oval at Atlanta Motor Speedway, a track at which Gordon has five wins, sixteen top fives, and twenty four top ten.

Finally it’s the race that decides which 16 drivers will get in the chase at Richmond International Raceway at which Gordon has two wins, seventeen top fives, and twenty seven top tens.

This weekend the NASCAR Sprint cup series heads to the 0.533 miler the bullring Bristol Motor Speedway.
