New York, NY – February 11, 2015 — United Stations Radio Networks, Inc., (“USRN”) an independent leader in original network radio programming, is excited to mark the start of the 2015 NASCAR® racing season with the announcement that Riki Rachtman, the host of its long-running show, “Racing Rocks!” is now anchoring his weekly program from the radio studio at The NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, N.C.

image006The program has been consistently airing on over 100 affiliated radio stations weekly since the Spring of 2003, and Rachtman moved to the Charlotte area just recently to be closer to the many key players in the auto racing industry for the kickoff of the 2015 NASCAR schedule in Daytona on February 22nd.

“Racing Rocks!” is a two-hour weekly long-form program that provides rock fans coast-to-coast with news, exclusive insights and exclusive interviews with drivers and other stars of the racing circuit, all as part of its dedicated coverage of the world of NASCAR, primarily the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. The program made its debut the Spring of 2003 on Mainstream Rock stations, and by the fall of 2004, a second mix of the show was introduced for Classic Rock radio stations. The current lineup for the show includes a mix of Mainstream, Active and Classic Rock stations, and in its 12-year run, no other national show has delivered more NASCAR coverage to the rock format in radio. The show is produced at USRN by Dave Kaufman.
In the driver’s seat as the host of both versions of Racing Rocks! is well-known air personality Riki Rachtman, a serious NASCAR fan and highly recognizable rock radio and TV figure. Rachtman emerged on the music scene in the late 80’s when he opened his legendary rock-and-roll venue The Cathouse and served for five years as the host for MTV’s “Headbanger’s Ball.” Rachtman, who is well-known among NASCAR’s elite drivers and crew chiefs, has contributed in the past to NASCAR.com and also anchored programs on Fox’s Speed Channel. On Racing Rocks! each week, Riki Rachtman delivers his unique perspective on the news in the sport of NASCAR racing, and his content covers everything from race results and driver standings to the behind the scenes happenings in NASCAR.

Regarding Rachtman’s new address and the new home studio for Racing Rocks! at the NASCAR Hall of Fame, USRN’s Andy Denemark commented, “Riki has really become a fixture on the NASCAR circuit and his re-location to the Charlotte area makes total sense. With more regular access to the drivers and crew members, year 13 of Racing Rocks! will not only be a lucky 13th, but it’ll be better than ever.” Additionally, with Rachtman’s move to North Carolina comes the addition of WRFX-FM (99.7 The Fox) as an affiliate of Racing Rocks! with Riki Rachtman. The station will begin airing the program on Sunday mornings this weekend (Feb 15) which is the final week of the NASCAR pre-season.
