Brian Pattie’s tenure at Roush Fenway Racing is coming to an end. Pattie, who has turned wrenches on RFR’s Fords since the 2016 season will not return to the organization for the 2020 campaign. Pattie has been the crew chief for Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and the No. 17 car since the start of the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season. It was rumored for a while and then earlier this week, Bob Pockrass cited a source that said that Clint Bowyer had reached an agreement to return to drive Stewart-Haas Racing’s No. 14 car for 2020.

Man, it’s been a rough road to Kansas Speedway for NASCAR teams this week.

A report from Go Fas Racing’s hauler driver Ron Utter — known as Captain Ron — states that the No. 47 JTG Daugherty hauler, which is carrying cars for Ryan Preece for this weekend’s race at Kansas Speedway has caught fire.
