UPDATE 4:47 PM ET: According to a new report from NewsChannel9.com, Dale Earnhardt Jr. has been transported to a hospital following the plane crash that took place Thursday afternoon for minor cuts and bruises.

You have to be gutted for Matt DiBenedetto. The 28-year old driver made a bet on himself last year. He walked away from the team he knew and loved — Go Fas Racing — in an effort to try to win races and compete at a high level with Leavine Family Racing.

Matt DiBenedetto had a sluggish start to the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season, his first with Leavine Family Racing.

However, the driver of the No. 95 Toyota Camry has had some solid results lately including four top-10 finishes in the last couple of months.
