The National Guard has decided to end their sponsorship with Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s #88 machine after this season according to their website. There’s just one problem with this, Hendrick Motorsports says they have a contract through the end of next season, have not been contacted by the National Guard, and intend to honor that agreement. So we’ll have to wait and see how this one turns out….

“Our team has a contract in place to continue the National Guard program at its current level in 2015, we have not been approached by the Guard about potential changes and plan to honor our current agreement.”
