After Friday’s qualifying session for Sunday’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Austin Dillon’s attempt at doing what hasn’t been done since 2009 — sweeping the first two events of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season — doesn’t look great as he will roll from the 25th-position on the grid.

However, Richard Childress Racing is still in good position to collect more hardware this weekend.

Michael McDowell has come out of the gates swinging.

In his first start for Front Row Motorsports, McDowell started 22nd in the No. 34 Love’s Travel Stops Ford Fusion, and he showed great speed for the majority of the Daytona 500.

Speedweeks 2018 is in the books. For the last couple of weeks, we were treated to a stunning display of brightly colored race cars driving two to three, and sometimes four-wide.

We saw breathtaking crashes, that luckily every driver walked away from.

In all, 58 machines were wadded up past the point of being able to finish the race between the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and ARCA Racing Series events in Daytona. Racing Legends: Dale Earnhardt Jr.

He’s a 15-time most popular driver in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, and he was the face of the sport through the last two decades.
Despite having the weight of the world thrown onto his shoulders after a tragic finish to the 2001 Daytona 500, this driver went on to record 50 NASCAR National Series wins through from 1998 to 2017.

He was fast on the track, but Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s legacy is more than just his race results. His popularity was a combination of his famous last name, a clean driving style, a humble personality and philanthropy.
