-Carl Edwards and Joey Logano brought out the 3rd caution. Brad Keselowski clipped the 99 sending him up the hill. Joey Logano later blew a right front tire to add to his misery.

-It seems that Carl Edwards intentionally wrecked Brad Keselowski with 6 laps to go, sending the 12 car on it’s roof. Keselowski was on his way to a top 5 run. Carl Edwards was parked by NASCAR and sent to meet with NASCAR officials.

-Dale Earnhardt Jr. came into the pits with a vibration, sending him to the back of the pack with the wave around rule

-Hendrick Motorsports and related teams had some tire issues, or set-up issues related to tires

-First Green-White-Checkered attempt, Jamie McMurray wrecked hard, along with Mark Martin, Clint Bowyer, Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr. and others. The #1 car seemed to just get twitchy in the middle of three wide.

-Kasey Kahne led the most laps at 144

In a race that saw several championship contenders fall by the wayside, Harvick crossed the stripe 1.308 seconds ahead of Kyle Busch at the end of a 14-lap green-flag dash to the finish. Aric Almirola came home third, followed by Steve Wallace, the 25th driver to register a top-five in his first race in the series.
