TO CLIMB INTO A RACE TRUCK AND TEST AT MARTINSVILLE SPEEDWAY

HARRISBURG, N.C. (November 28, 2011) – – Brad Daugherty may be best known as a five-time NBA All-Star or for his work as an ESPN analyst for NASCAR’s top touring divisions. However, his passion for racing runs deeper than just with his co-ownership of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team JTG Daugherty Racing.

Taking a closer look at Daugherty’s fervor for racing, he dabbles as a driver himself in the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) and other racing series. In preparation for competition in the NASA Southeast Region next season, he has decided to test a NASCAR Camping World Series truck at Martinsville Speedway on Wednesday.

CHRIS MYERS OF SHOWTIME’S INSIDE NASCAR

Emmy Award-winner, Chris Myers, a 27-year broadcasting veteran with a diverse resume that ranges from NASCAR to the NFL, college football and MLB.  Myers is a co-host of Inside NASCAR on SHOWTIME that airs Wednesday’s at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Myers serves as host of Inside NASCAR alongside Michael Waltrip, Brad Daugherty and Kyle Petty.

A four-sport star, Myers also contributes to FOX’s NFL, BCS and MLB coverage, serving as reporter and occasional play-by-play announcer during regular and postseason contests.

In 1998, Myers began serving as an anchor for Fox Sports News on FSN. Prior to that, Myers worked for ESPN. During his 11 years at the network, Myers hosted Up Close and was a reporter and anchor for SportsCenter. He was awarded an Emmy in the Sports Features category in 1990 as an anchor/reporter.

Myers attended Florida International University and Miami Dade Community College where he majored in radio and television. He started his own talk radio show at the age of 16 at WKAT-Radio in Miami, interviewing sports legends such as Muhammad Ali and Don Shula during his teenage years.
