Greg Biffle likely won’t rank this year’s Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup™ among his top racing memories. Biffle heads to the season finale ranked seventh in points. The Washington native, however, could reach the final NASCAR Sprint Cup Series top five with a victory in the Ford EcoBoost 400 – a race he won in 2004 and 2006 as a non-Chase qualifier. The return to Michigan International Speedway couldn’t come at a better time for Greg Biffle, winner of June’s race at MIS and the reigning champion of the two-mile track’s August stop. Biffle is ninth in Sprint Cup standings, just four points ahead of 11th-place Kurt Busch. The last driver to sweep Michigan’s pair of races was Bobby Labonte in 1995. Biffle, a four-time Michigan winner, owns the top Driver Rating (110.00) at MIS where Roush Fenway Racing is the all-time winning ownership with 12 victories.
With some help from Kurt Busch, Brad Keselowski spun and has to give up his hopes of repeating at Kentucky. Greg Biffle found himself parked underneath Brad’s #2 as he tried desperately to avoid a collision.
