Australian import Marcos Ambrose has his sights set squarely on a Glen “triple” as the two-time reigning winner of this weekend’s Cheez-It 355 at The Glen. Ambrose’s 2011 victory was his first in NASCAR’s premier series. A year ago, the Richard Petty Motorsports competitor repeated by holding off champion-to-be Brad Keselowski in a door and fender rubbing, on- and off-track lap that proved to be one of the most intense and exciting serials of the 2012 campaign. Only two drivers – Jeff Gordon (1997-99) and Mark Martin (1993-95) – have won three consecutive NASCAR Sprint Cup races at The Glen.

Will Race No. 9 Stanley Ford in Both Michigan and Ohio in Same Weekend
Concord, N.C. (July 10, 2013) – Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) announced today it will enter Marcos Ambrose in the Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series event on Saturday, August 17, at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The announcement was made today while Ambrose joined NASCAR officials at a visit to the Ohio State Capitol in Columbus. Ambrose will drive the No. 9 Stanley Ford and be a teammate to Michael Annett in the No. 43 Pilot Travel Centers Ford.

CONCORD, N.C. (May 29, 2013) – He may hail from the land down under, but this Sunday Marcos Ambrose, driver of the No. 9 DEWALT Racing Ford, will be racing to make special children feel on top of the world. As a part of the continued “Racing for a Miracle” program, if Ambrose takes his first oval checkered, Stanley and DEWALT will donate $1 million to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through the Ace Hardware Foundation to benefit sick and injured children. New this year, if Ambrose and his Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) team finish second or third, Stanley and DEWALT, through the Ace Hardware Foundation, will donate $500,000 and $250,000 respectively.
