Miles the Monster announces candidacy for 2012 presidential election

DOVER, Del. – Miles the Monster, professional monster and icon for Dover International Speedway, today announced his plans to run for President of the United States in the 2012 presidential election. The move comes just days shy of the start of the busy political season as we prepare to usher in the New Year.

Running on the platform of making “Concrete Change in 2012,” Miles is prepared to take the political world by storm. He is ready and willing to trade paint with democrats, republicans and any other party that dare stand in his way, and earn the trust and respect of the American people on his road to the White House.

Miles is set on returning this great country to its glory days, when names like Petty, Allison and Earnhardt were our American heroes and children could dream of a future in which they could one day achieve anything, even becoming a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver.

“We’re proud to announce Miles’ candidacy for President of the United States in 2012,” said George Keller, track historian and campaign manger for Miles the Monster. “By applying the experience he’s gained at Dover International Speedway to our federal government, we’re confident that if elected he can reverse the unemployment trend, improve foreign relations, increase fiscal accountability and make the country a better place for generations to come.
