Joey Logano and David Gilland’s radio chatter is now being investigated by NASCAR from Richmond as well now to allow Joey to pass Gilliland and gain that all important 1 point needed to get into the Chase.  Although they are not teammates, they are both Ford’s and Joey did finish 1 spot ahead of David after the 38’s lap times dropped off by almost a second….hmmmmmm

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 11, 2013) – NASCAR is aware of reports about the #22 and #38 radio communications at Richmond International Raceway and is looking into it, but has yet to see anything in full context that requires any action.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – The Hendrick Motorsports driver, ninth in the points standings, will be in New York to hit a number of media outlets, including “CBS This Morning,” the New York Post and “America Live” on the Fox News Channel. Earnhardt Jr. is also scheduled to serve as a guest DJ on Sirius XM satellite radio.

NASCAR_Sprint_Cup_Chase_Drivers_RIR__notruexDAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 9, 2013) – NASCAR has issued penalties to Michael Waltrip Racing following the sanctioning body’s review of Saturday’s race at Richmond International Raceway.

MWR was found to have violated Section 12-4 (Actions detrimental to stock car racing). As a result, MWR’s three teams in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (No. 15, 55, 56) have been penalized with the loss of 50 championship driver and 50 championship owner points, respectively.
