STEWART-HAAS RACING STATEMENT VIA FACEBOOK
A quick note to all of our fans regarding Office Depot…

When we formed Stewart-Haas Racing at the end of 2008, Office Depot was the first partner to join our team. We became immersed in their business, and they became equally engaged in our business. Strong B2B relationships were fostered off the track, and on the track our partnership culminated with the 2011 Sprint Cup championship.

We remain proud of all that we accomplished together, and are committed to seeing this relationship through by defending the championship we won together and by continuing to act on Office Depot’s behalf in the representation of small businesses everywhere.

OFFICE DEPOT STATEMENT VIA FACEBOOK
To all Office Depot and Tony Stewart fans – the bottom line is we LOVE Tony Stewart. He’s been a fantastic partner for Office Depot. But we are in a very challenging economy and have been working really hard to improve our business for our customers. We are just not able to continue for next year at the same level of primary sponsorship of the #14 car that we have today. Tony means a lot to Office Depot and the relationship we have built these past four years is about more than our name and logo being on his race car. No matter what, the Office Depot family will always be with Smoke.

Danica Patrick Rounds Out 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Schedule by Selecting October Race Weekend at Kansas Speedway

Jul. 10, 2012

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – Danica Patrick will compete in the Oct. 21 Hollywood Casino 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at the newly-paved Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kan.

Patrick, driver of the No. 10 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet for Tommy Baldwin Racing via a collaborative agreement with Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR), will benefit from an extra day of practice, scheduled for the Thursday before the race weekend due to the 1.5-mile oval being resurfaced since the Sprint Cup Series’ last visit to Kansas in April.

“With the testing rules the way they are, we can’t test with her at tracks where NASCAR’s top three series compete,” said Greg Zipadelli, SHR competition director and race strategist for Patrick. “That extra day of testing will be huge for her. With the amount of 1.5-mile ovals on the schedule, it made sense to have her compete at Kansas to better prepare her for 2013.”

2013 Sponsorship News from SHR
Statements Regarding 2013 Sponsorship Status of Stewart-Haas Racing’s No. 39 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Entry
Jul. 10, 2012
KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – The U.S. Army has decided not to renew its sponsorship with Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) in 2013 as a primary sponsor of the No. 39 Chevrolet driven by Ryan Newman due to a reallocation of its marketing budget that will not include a presence in NASCAR.

SHR is actively pursuing a strong brand to partner with the team and its roster of sponsors that also includes Office Depot, Mobil 1, Quicken Loans, GoDaddy.com, Haas Automation, Chevrolet, WIX Filters, Outback Steakhouse, Aspen Dental, Tornados, Coca-Cola, Oreo, Ritz, Bass Pro Shops and Code 3 Associates.

For Stewart-Haas Racing, the beat goes on.
Ryan Newman’s Sunday victory at Martinsville Speedway was the organization’s third of the 2012 season and eighth trip to Victory Lane over the past 16 races.

Batting .500 ain’t bad – especially in an environment as competitive as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
It’s fair to say SHR has few – if any – weaknesses. The team’s recent run of victories includes wins on short track (two), mile, intermediate tracks (five) and a two-mile layout.

Newman had been winless since last summer’s race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Teammate Tony Stewart had been doing the heavy lifting, a point not lost on Newman, who collected his 16th victory.
“Just glad I finally contributed,” said Newman, smiling, following the race.

Heading to Texas Motor Speedway, Stewart, winner of last November’s Texas race, stands third in points. Newman, also a Texas winner, is eighth.
