Brad Keselowski and his Penske Racing teammate Joey Logano will surely be facing penalties this week, as NASCAR confiscated rear end parts from both of their racecars. Keselowski, who wound up finishing ninth despite being out to lunch all race long, ripped the sanctioning body when he climbed from his racecar.

According to USA Today’s Jeff Gluck, Keselowski said reporters had ”no (freaking) idea what’s going on” behind the scenes and said NASCAR has targeted his No. 2 team in an “absolutely shameful” way.

From there Keselowski would go on a full tirade that can be found here in full.

While already in hot water, the driver of the No. 2 Ford has decided to do what nobody has ever successfully done — fight NASCAR. I wish the 2012 champion well, but this doesn’t seem like a very good battle to be picking.

His teammate Joey Logano had to start the race from 43rd position, as he was late getting his car to the grid due to inspection issues. That didn’t keep Logano from rallying to a fifth-place finish. Following the race Logano, who has had numerous run-ins lately, was a bit more subdued in his post-race talks.

“It was one of the toughest races I think we’ve ever dealt with and to come home with a top-five out of something like that, we couldn’t be more excited about that.”

Logano would go on to say that the drama before the green flag really didn’t phase him.

“I go minute by minute, so, for me, it’s not a big deal. I just strap in and go. Having to go to the rear was a little bit of a bummer, especially not knowing what your car is going to be like, but Todd Gordon and all these guys, they knew exactly what to do and to get us out there — barely in time — but to get us out there, make some laps, get a feel for it, good adjustments — we kept up with the race track when the sun went down — and then we started to shine there late.”

The question before the race started was: Would NASCAR drop the hammer on Penske Racing? Brad Keselowski has possibly forced the sanctioning body’s hand, as their championship driver is questioning the ethics of the sport.
