How was Juan Pablo Montoya robbed?

How was Juan Pablo Montoya robbed?

42Rather than having a long drawn out article about this, how about we discuss this topic down below in our comments section.  Ever since the Brickyard 400 wrapped up, Twitter has exploded with back and forth comments on Juan Pablo Montoya’s penalty on pit road for speeding.  Calling it a conspiracy theory and much more. After leading the most laps (116) in the Brickyard 400, Juan Pablo Montoya came in for the final pit cycle of the race.  Montoya sped not once, but twice on pit road and simply made a racing mistake.  This is an electronically scored part of NASCAR racing, where there is no gray area.  The following are Tweets from NASCAR’S Official Twitter account, (@nascarsays)

-“He sped in two zones on pit road (60.06 and 60.11 mphs). Limit was 55 with 4.99 mph tolerance.”

-“Montoya was speeding in two different zones on pit road. Team has access to print out to confirm speeds.”

-“42 crew chief pattie also said that the electronic pit road timing is a good system and is not faulty. #nascar will show him print out.”

-“Sorry to kill the conspiracy theories, but pit road speeds are computerized. Not a judgement call. #NASCAR

-“Don’t know why fans think we wouldn’t want Montoya to win. Would be a great story. #NASCAR
