Hamlin Plays In Pain
A 508-lap marathon with the beating and banging nature of Martinsville would sap the energy from the most healthy of humans. Never mind one with a torn ACL in his left knee.

Still, Denny Hamlin, proved he’s NASCAR’s ultimate gamer, playing in pain and winning his third Martinsville race. He then had surgery to repair the knee on Wednesday, March 31.

The victory moved Hamlin from 19th to 15th in the series standings.  Denny says he plans to start the race at Phoenix, but Casey Mears is on standby.
