1 Tony Stewart came from the back of the pack after a qualifying penalty to win his 4th July Daytona race. Tony grabs his 3rd win of the season without a scratch on his 14 machine.

Before the race it was announced that AJ Allmendinger violated NASCAR’s substance abuse policy and suspended temporarily. Sam Hornish Jr. took the wheel of the #22 Penske Dodge, and was ironically the first caution at lap 80 for a blown tire.

Jimmie Johnson got tagged from behind and hit the inside wall hard. Jeff Gordon Bill Elliott and others collected in this one. 3rd DNF of the season (all plate races)

Scary moment on pit road when the 39 got spun and hit the 2 car while being serviced
