Stenhouse, Roush Fenway Racing Honoring Darrell Waltrip With Special Sonoma Paint Scheme
onThis week’s race at Sonoma Raceway will mark the final time that Darrell Waltrip calls a race from the booth for FOX Sports ending an illustrious 19-year career as an analyst. Waltrip will undoubtedly receive a lot of tributes this weekend, but none will be as amazing as the paint scheme that Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will be running this weekend.
As the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series haulers pull into the track, the No. 17 team will unload a very familiar looking car. Stenhouse’s Fastenal Ford Mustang will sport the iconic Western Auto paint scheme that Waltrip used in the 1990s, it even — for now — includes the chrome No. 17’s on the side of the car.

This is an amazing tribute to a man who has given so much of his life to the sport of NASCAR.
Here was the paint scheme on Waltrip’s No. 17 Chevrolet Lumina at Pocono back in 1991:

Ross Chastain’s Truck Fails Post-Race Inspection, Brett Moffitt Awarded the Win
onIt is something that we knew was a possibility as soon as NASCAR announced that post-race inspection would take place at the track, but it’s a real gut punch to Ross Chastain and the Niece Motorsports team.
After winning the M&M’s 200 on Sunday, Chastain’s No. 44 truck was found to be too low on the front end in post-race inspection. As a result, the win and the $50,000 triple truck challenge bonus have been stripped from Chastain and awarded to second place finisher Brett Moffitt.
This is Moffitt’s first victory of the 2019 season.
Niece Motorsports can appeal the post-race inspection penalty up until Monday at 12pm ET, according to NASCAR.
Video: Johnny Sauter Retaliates Against Austin Hill in Iowa
onJohnny Sauter and Austin Hill were battling fiercely for the seventh position in the final stage of the M&M’s 200 at Iowa Speedway on Sunday, when Sauter tapped Hill out of the way. Hill caught back up to Sauter and returned the favor, which sent Sauter’s No. 13 truck backwards into the wall on lap 138.
However, things didn’t end there. After getting his truck rolling after the crash, Sauter sped across the track to find Hill’s No. 16 truck. Sauter slammed into Hill crashing him in retaliation.
