It has been an incredible season for Tony Stewart on the dirt. Thursday night, Stewart took home his eighth race victory of the 2019 season. This win came at his hometown track in Rushville, Indiana during the Rushville County Fair in the UMRA King of the TW Midget Race.

This track was also the site of Stewart’s first-ever race win back in 1989, which launched the career that Stewart has built over the last 30 years.

Matt Kenseth, may not have raced in the last eight months, but he will be in the star-studded field that will battle it out for the checkered flag in the 40th-annual Slinger Nationals late model event at Slinger Super Speedway in his home state of Wisconsin on July 9th. Kenseth, who has an all-time record of seven previous wins in this event, will look to extend his lead in that category even further.

Kenseth first won this event back in 1994. He then returned after he started rising to NASCAR fame and won the event in 2002, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2012 and 2016. No other driver in the prestigious race’s history has more than four victories in the Nationals. According to Kenseth, this race has always been one of the biggest on his radar. In a story that was broken by TobyChristie.com at the end of May, it was revealed that Hattori Racing Enterprises would be making a return to NASCAR Xfinity Series competition using the No. 61 Toyota Supra at Daytona in July. Now, a month later we have official confirmation from the team, and we now know that Austin Hill will officially make his Series debut. On Wednesday, David Ragan unveiled the throwback paint scheme that he will wheel around Darlington Raceway for the Bojangles Southern 500. The car is a throwback to legendary three-time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Champion David Pearson and his time with the Holman-Moody race team.
