Sunday’s Consumers Energy 400 at Michigan International Speedway was a good race that was contested between several really fast cars. Three different drivers (Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick) won the three separate Stages of the race and others such as Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano led huge chunks of laps as well.

The 2019 Sunoco Rookie of the Year battle in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series had become a one-horse race as of late. Daniel Hemric over the last month or so has elevated his game and started knocking down some solid results. Meanwhile, Ryan Preece had been struggling mightily.

It has been a rather decent season for Germain Racing and their driver Ty Dillon. The No. 13 team which has been a mid-20s competitor since their inception, has really taken a step forward in 2019 and that trend continued with an 11th-place effort in Sunday’s Consumers Energy 400 at Michigan.
